Queens Club Dachshunds is a growing home for everything dachshund. Right now that means: Training advice and honest stories on our Substack, written for dachshunds specifically, not dogs in general; Designs for t-shirts, caps, laptop cases and tote bags, made for humans who love their dachshund and know their ways; A community on Instagram and TikTok for anyone who understands that dachshunds do not really do “obedient.” We are also working towards a licence to board and sit dachshunds in a home environment, and one of us has discovered they are enjoying behaviourist courses.
Dachshunds do not ask permission and they rarely take advice. We built Queens Club Dachshunds for anyone who has accepted that, loved them anyway, and would still choose a dachshund every single time.
Queens Club Dachshunds started with one dog: Tidy, a black smooth-haired dachshund who is convinced he runs the household. He is five now, and every piece of advice, every design and every slightly exasperated blog post comes from actually living with a dachshund, not just admiring one from a distance.
We love dachshunds completely. We also know exactly what they are like. They are clever, loyal, funny and utterly convinced of their own authority, which is exactly why our “how to train your dragon” joke writes itself.
Head of Security
Tidy is a black smooth-haired dachshund with a clear sense of what is and is not acceptable. Plastic bags are deeply suspicious, tall men in hats are almost certainly aliens sent to kill us all, and cats are perfectly fine until they chase him, at which point he screams as though the world is ending.
He adores children and humans, will do almost anything for food, including an impressive selection of tricks, and believes the Tube was designed largely for him: a moving picnic with a carriage full of captive people ready to pet him. He hates a wet belly, loves a blanket and a sunbeam, and has made it his personal responsibility to ensure every squirrel stays safely in a tree
The Human
I n T r a i n i n g
Flo grew up on a farm where animals were never simply background scenery. Her father bred spaniels for Crufts, kept what was then Europe’s largest private collection of rare birds, and became the first person to breed a flamingo in the wild in the UK. There were guinea pigs, crayfish and, later, a population of feral cats when the birds moved to a new farm.
Her first job was, in effect, running the cat farm. With 17 cats already in residence and breeding rapidly, Flo persuaded her father that kittens could be placed in good homes for a small fee, which would fund food and the gradual spaying of the mothers. It worked, although adult Flo suspects there may have been some discreet parental subsidy behind the scenes.
She now works as a sculpture specialist, with particular expertise in animalier bronzes, and has a long list of books she intends to write on the subject. Tidy fully supports this ambition, largely because writing books happens in the best blanket spot, with both morning and afternoon sun.
The Second Humans
W h e n n e e d e d
A small group of trusted people help out when dachshunds come to visit. They have all been vetted and approved by the dachshunds themselves, who are far better judges of character than we are.
The dogs checked their laps to be sure they were comfortable and how they were qualified for treat application.
We just checked the paperwork.

We love working with brands that genuinely understand dachshunds and make life better for the dogs and humans who live with them. Tidy is very happy to consider collaborations involving food, blankets, sunny spots and interesting places to visit, while Queens Club Dachshunds creates honest, character-led content for an audience who knows that dachshunds are much more than just a cute face.
